🚨 Michael Mariot told a story in his postgame press conference that is so damn cool.

He hadn’t pitched in the majors since 2016.

His agent convinced him to play Independent Ball to start the season even though he really was thinking about retiring.

He had a date that if he wasn’t signed by, he was going to retire and go to Hawaii with his family.

The last day he had to cancel his plans, the #Reds called and signed him to a Minor League Deal.

Today, he pitched 2.2 Innings of one run baseball for a team fighting for a playoff spot.
