Myricx Bio's secret sauce: an N-myristoyltransferase inhibitor (NMTi) ADC payload, from Robin Carr poster at #WorldADC23. Just acquired by $NVS for $ 1.1bn.
Side note: Pacylex Pharmaceuticals (Canada) seems to be the only company developing an NMT inhibitor as a drug in its own right: zelenirstat, in ph2 for DLBCL
Another ADC acquisition. This time novel payload (N-Myristoyltransferase inhibitor)
$NVS to acquire Myricx (UK based) for $1.1B u/f + $0.4B backend.
Seeded by Sofinnova Partners (Maina Bhaman) and Brandon Capital (Jonathan Tobin).
Series A co-led by Abingworth (Jayson Punwani) and Novo Holdings (Michael Bauer)
$114m series A was exactly 2 years ago. So this must be a very good return.

That one is especially curious since $MRNA hasn't disclosed the antigens targeted by mRNA-4106 or mRNA-4200. Does mRNA-4200 have anything to do with Lag3? $MRK $BMY
$CHRS announced a clinical-trial collab on 23 Jun, and that's apparently slotted into Zumutor's existing IND. Did Zumutor fail to sign a clinical-trial collab with $MRK?
@VipinSuri4 Thx. I recall an NCI study (poss linked to Kite?) testing a class II HLA-restricted engineered TCR at #AACR16, but yes, rare to see this approach.
🇨🇳➡️🇺🇸 FDA IND win for 🇨🇳 Essight Bio
Shanghai Essight Biotechnology’s ES502 has received FDA clearance to enter a Phase I trial in patients with advanced solid tumors harboring RAS G12V mutations (KRAS/NRAS/HRAS).
ES502 is a next‑generation TCR×CD3 bispecific T‑cell engager, designed to bind the RAS G12V–HLA pHLA complex with >100× higher affinity than CD3, enabling highly selective T‑cell activation at the tumor site.
Notably, ES502 is reported as the first TCR×CD3 bispecific targeting RAS G12V to enter the clinical trial.
