"Several agents of Edmonton players who were not involved the in direct conversations with Babcock also voiced concerns, adding they didn’t like the idea of clients being traded there, either."
Suboptimal.
He fucked up launching this illegal war. It was always gonna end with him lying and claiming “victory.” It ain’t no victory. We lost. America lost. Trump is a loser. Everything Trump does makes America weaker and worse off.
To recap:
Trump started a war.
Couldn’t win the war.
And now Iran gets $300 billion to stop the war, while we all pay more for gas and everything else.
This is Trump’s “Art of the Deal.”
He fucked up launching this war, and he’ll fuck up with how this war will end. The U.S. will walk away weaker, Iran will walk away stronger, and the world’s economy will have taken a huge hit. All bcuz an idiot/pathological liar/sociopath sits in the White House.
No one should be surprised.
Oilers have had their player leadership quite active in the process of finding a coach. On top of an in person meeting with Babcock the player group also met with Peter Laviolette around the same time.
Didn’t have the Oilers spoiling a third straight Stanley Cup Final on my bingo card.
All kidding aside, it is a shame that in the middle of one of the best final series we’ve seen, this whole Babcock thing is a dominant headline.
If #Oilers elect to continue down the path with Mike Babcock, sources say the #NHLPA is in receipt of “significant” additional claims from their own investigation with players that were not publicly reported in 2023.
Those claims were presented to #NHL prior to his resignation.
Hiring Mike Babcock is a troubling sign for the Oilers. It signals an organization stuck in the past, clinging to old names instead of embracing new ideas.
Over Mike Babcock's last three full seasons in Toronto - not including the one he was fired - the Maple Leafs ranked dead last in 5v5 shots against and despite some great work by Freddy Andersen they still ranked 21st in goals against.
@Kgill39 Again, you have no idea.
And also, risking McDavids (potential) final season with an unproven goalie with one (1) NHL game is absolutely INSANE to me.
(But as a Flames fan, I LOVE it)
