We are thrilled to welcome Jebby Phillips as a consumer representative for the ANZHFR @neuraustralia
Jebby originally became involved as a consumer for her local hospital after her husband had a serious medical incident. "All ended well but I thought I had a different perspective on the Australian health system. I hope my experience of a hip fracture may provide some useful information for anyone else who falls and breaks a hip."
Jebby's involvement with the ANZHFR will help us to better understand what matters to older people after hip fracture, and ultimately support better care and outcomes.
Fantastic to have the revised Framework for National #CQRs to guide our growth and support the use of Registry data to improve care for older people after #hipfracture 👏🏻

Hospitals are designed to run close to capacity at all times with very little spare. Every Winter I have worked there have been problems with bed availability. While we have made major gains with hospital/rehab at home but now we have an ageing population, so more sick people.
A productive and rewarding day at the annual face-to-face @ANZHFR Steering Group meeting @neuraustralia.
So grateful for the time and energy this incredible group dedicates to improving #hipfracture care.
