When I was 15 my friend and youth leader Yoni Jesner was killed by a suicide bombing on a bus in Tel Aviv. He was the first British citizen to be murdered during an intifada. Tonight I found out that one of the Palestinian terrorists who was involved in his murder has been released in the ceasefire deal. One of the reasons I even do this work is because what happened to Yoni shaped my worldview. Yoni's organs were donated to an eight-year-old Palestinian girl so she could live, and one of his murderers walks free.
