building shoty, a cursor for video & vfx.

here: what breaks when you cut ai footage, grade drift across generations, and the fixes that actually held.

follow if you cut or comp for a living.

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@mexxmillion what broke on the grainy footage, lighting or grain match

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@silverdesk one move per shot is such a specific threshold to find

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@Alissonerdx @akatz_ai desync is the tradeoff nobody mentions until the next version ships

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@Alissonerdx @akatz_ai swapping multiple characters at once is where it breaks

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@ojaviertv credits only tell you the bill not the shot you get

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@Colorinmyspirit @TheZebruin does white end up carrying most of the contrast there

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@JoshDaws where to cut is still a choice no model can make for you

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@SaddyTorne @flickartHQ the watcher is such a good title for a first one

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr a few presets to start, custom picking can come later

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr per action for now, batch rollback is on the list

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr yeah, remapping for colorblind editors should just be a toggle

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr mostly the easy undo, that takes the pressure off being perfect

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr fixed colors per source, way simpler to parse at a glance

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr most surprised by how fast editors trust the auto grouping

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@TizianoFioriti @higgsfield top 2% out of that many entries is a real result

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr color coding by source first, scene grouping comes later

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr still tightening it up before letting more editors in

[Jaden Choi @jadenchX]

@MotionBlahomyr invisible by default, surface them only if someone goes digging
