#NidoEcon World Bank scales back on $50 million vocational training program in Xinjiang after allegations were made that the grant was used for Muslim detention camps that force Muslims to renounce their religious beliefs, a sign of political instability. https://t.co/y3QgVO34yB
@cornell_ian in celebration of Woman’s day, here is an article highlighting a form of micro finance in which women in India are being empowered and protected from abuse by being employed at a bakery! This is significant because women in small villages aren’t allowed to work,
#NidoEcon Trending on Twitter right now is a Nike and Just Do It hashtag. Will the demand for Nike products shift to the left or to the right? (There is controversy but also support for the new campaign) https://t.co/TxaRGggwZV
#NidoGP Trump not attending the 8th Summit of the Americas shows the other countries that the event is not important enough for him. How could this decision affect the attendance of president's of other countries, for example, Venezuela's president? https://t.co/eyQFC29cPz
#NidoGP How could the U.S.’s and Russia’s involvement create a bigger conflict in the region? Will Assad be encouraged to continue the attacks now that he has got Trump’s and Putin’s attention? https://t.co/emV96eYACs
#NidoGP This article is very important because it provides evidence for possible changes the world will undergo economically and politically. What are the effects of China and Russia allying to "overthrow" U.S. power? https://t.co/1pOBsvmrev
@jocelynbachmann I think while Trump knows that his actions have a lot of consequences worldwide, he chooses to go against what his professionals have to say and instead causes a lot of conflicts worldwide, especially with countries like Russia and North Korea.
#NidoGP What could be the possible effects of Trump continuing to go against what his professionals have to say about international matters? https://t.co/qfUMX1xJ3c
@nperry_7 I think that India's economy will flourish once they establish manufacturing. An issue in India is that there are a lot of homeless people living on the streets. Therefore, once these have jobs, roads can develop, sewage can improve, and disease will decrease.
@jocelynbachmann I think that Bolton is not the right man for the job because just as he helped build the case that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction, and turned out to be wrong, there is no guarantee that something similar would happen with North Korea, thus causing conflict.
@Andrew_Scott_M This article highlights the fact that if the U.S. were to initiate a trade war, the U.S. itself would be affected greatly because of its relations with China, Japan, and Korea. The war would cause tensions, meaning prices for necessary items like phones would increase drastically.
@Andrew_Scott_M I think that China could possibly replace the U.S. in the near future because of the tariffs Trump is proposing which will cause the decline of the U.S.. China's manufacturing will also play an important role in the war, however, in the long-term, language could be an issue.
#NidoGP How will Trump's promise to not let any other country come close to possessing nearly as many nuclear weapons as the U.S. affect the U.S. economy and its influence on the rest of the world? Iran? https://t.co/PBBb91MvHT
