I'm sharing my latest article published today on the "Ninety Years of ‘Annihilation of Caste’: The wait for a democratic conscience in India". Let me know your thoughts.

Ninety years after the publication of Ambedkar’s fiery undelivered speech for the Jat Pat Todak Mandal, that drew extensively on abolitionist thought, the project of forming a civic virtue in India remains unfinished, even as courts have continued undermining the materiality of caste-oppression.

@MisraDevika03@SouthAsia_R Thank you Devika. I wish we may apply Annihilation in the context of Latin America. In fact in my reading, Ambedkar is important.
Thank you Aakash. I'm working on Annihilation as a theory of liberation. Mostly, we attribute Ambedkar towards the French revolution – that is one, but there is more to it "Abolition to Annihilation towards Reconstruction". Otherwise our political theory would be repetitions.
This is a powerful new article by @jadumanilion: ‘#Ambedkar and Annihilation: Towards a Theory of Transformative Praxis’ (South Asia Research).
It recovers Ambedkar’s radical idea of “annihilation” as the foundation for genuine egalitarian transformation:

We reflect on the life of Dr BR Ambedkar and his timeless values of justice and dignity on his 136th birth anniversary. A fierce defender of human rights, Babasaheb’s vision of an equal world is at the heart of the Sustainable Development Goals and our work at the United Nations
"For ours is a battle, not for wealth, or for power. It is a battle for freedom. It is a battle for the reclamation of human personality.”I wish that we understand the deeper meaning of these words for reclaiming human personality with respect and dignity! Happy Ambedkar Jayanti!
41 killed in sewer-septic tanks in just 80 days of this year! Hundreds of safai karamcharis from 10 states gather at Jantar Mantar to protest most barbaric caste-based oppression in name of occupation. Join hands and raise voice to make this government listen! #stopkillingus
Dr Ambedkar compares the Mahad Conference compared with the French Revolution held in 1789. Mahad Satyagraha (Resisting Injustice) not for water but to establish human rights. Recently we witnessed a champion of post enlightenment thinker passed away Habermas.
“We are not going to the Chavadar Tank to merely drink its water. We are going to the Tank to assert that we too are human beings like others. It must be clear that this meeting has been called to set up the norm of equality”
-Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

From Axel Honneth's Habermas obituary, on Habermas' "unfinished dialogue" with Adorno re: the tension within Critical Theory between "Hegel's insistence on the historicity of all reason" and the "Kantian features of a timeless universalism"...

An important influential philosopher of our time. He is no more. It was great to read his theory of public sphere in democratic discourse. And his idea of communicative action.
Philosopher Juergen Habermas died at the age of 96. Best-known for his theory of political consensus-building, he shaped the discourse of post-war Germany more than any other popular intellectual https://t.co/x11JS4yPsl
