@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada So you mean to tell me that if someone said to you that βdo you think two 14 year olds having sex is ok?β You would respond with "no! Feel there should be a pretty hardline on children having sex with one another."???
Stop the cap please
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada Notice how you frame western problems (that you also acknowledge as such) trivially, but you go graphic and detailed with the imagery when it comes to the "GS"π€
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada I also do actually. Itβs more of a consistency argument....
But wait actually, if that's the case, why aren't you more outraged, disgusted and urgent about how rampant it is in every western society? 13 yo, 12 year olds having sex.... Very rampant
@LuckyLombardo1@WalterWalt10252 I never said she wasn't beaten at all. And I also never justified it.
All I'm saying is that you can see her collapse from the CCTV footage, not that they literally beat her to death (as the dominant narrative went), that's all.
And again, police brutality isn't unique to Iran
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada But you don't have an issue with them having sex with each other right??π Yes or No.
Saying yes would mean u oppose them marrying bc they are children, thus canβt make life-changing decisions yet... But having sex which can lead to pregnancy & childbirth is even more severe no?
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada My reason for asking is that you also don't have any issue with two 14 year olds having sex though. Hence why I asked
I am trying to point out the inconsistency
@LuckyLombardo1@WalterWalt10252 I didn't justify shit π€§. Obviously state-imposed beating of a woman for not observing proper hijab is foolish and wrong, even Islamically
But I also don't believe she was beaten to death. She was taken into custody (also wrong), then collapsed and died of prior health issues
Under-18 marriage is not blanket pedophilia. Most cases it's village people marrying and then working together on a farm.
My villager grandparents married eachother at 15 and 14.
Early marriage also is a way to escape an abusive household or legitimize a high school relationship in a culture where premarital sex is frowned upon by parents.
Comparing this to pervasive direct evidence of US officials and famous individuals all prancing around with Epstein is disingenuous. It would be only "comparable" if Hassan Rouhani or some other high ranking Iranian official or famous individual was going to Epstein's (or an equivalent's) mansion, photographed with him, writing implacable emails, boarding the lolita express, etc.
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada But the uniqueness of Iran is its opposition to Western hegemony though
bc if you agree that all the "problems" are also the case (*to a lesser extent) in other places, then their uniqueness is in not allying with the west no?
bc care for any other reason would be arbitrary
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada So it's not about the maturity of the individual itself, but the age gap also??
Also, this just sounds like "our p3dos are better" kinda argument
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada Literally everything in the Wikipedia article recklessness and disgustingness of authorities and the judicial system, but it isn't unique to Iran, nor were the described process legislated by its laws.
It's a case of barbarism of authorities, which isn't unique to Iran
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada The age of marriage (& consent) in a lot of places in the US (and west in general) also constitutes Child marriage though
@AloneInAField01@GoyEmpanada Child marriage is also legal in the US though. Is it ideal? No. But yet again, it is not proof of UNIQUE barbarism that requires urgent and utmost attention/interference
