@G748494John@jaykelly26 They don’t hate the English. Besides deep Irish families, which has thinned out, I have never heard a Bostonian say anything bad about the English. Yes, maybe some good natured jabs, but that’s it.
@oliverhenry Explain why so many of your English countryman are saying they hated Boston? Seem that an issue with a few pubs in the same area were shutdown by the police at 10 when the rest of the cities pubs were open until 3am. Is it just loud mouths on socials complaining?
@realgavinwalsh@iamalexroma@England@EnglandAbroad Not sure when you arrived, but Boston in the rain is awful. I live here. It’s MUCH better in nice weather. Also, you have to travel around the city and region to truly appreciate it. It’s more then downtown.
@bowbrookshrew Honest question, as a Bostonian, I was sad to see reports of so many of your countryman hating being here. I know some specific bars near Faneuil Hall were closed early by the Police. The rest of the city was still serving until 3am. Is it an overreaction by some English fans?
@Ollyhud Only the bars in that area closed at 10 due to a police order. The rest of the cities bars were open until 3am. I live in Boston and did some research and I have never heard of that happening. I do know the police can do it for public safety reasons.
@mikesaunders@johnwgunnison@Ollyhud There is a giant half truth going on. It is true that some bars in the same block near Faneuil Hall closed at 10pm. (Which is unheard of here) apparently the police shut them down. However, the rest of the city was still open to 3am. They could have jumped on the T or uber.
@bostonsportsdj @SavageSports_ I think that had to do with the illegal shift call on Henry. I think if Maye waited a second longer it would have been ok
@berkie1@TracyNovick If Acela didn’t have to deal with grade crossings in Connecticut, it would be fine. We just took it from Boston to NYC and it was averaging 140mph in MA and RI. It was like we hit a wall once we got in CT.
