Color theory should be used to strangle most parts of the image so people can see the important part.

@BayouBomber What this video points out to me is that I can’t try to make every piece stand and look good, which is how people usually abuse color theory.

Every vibrant, striking part is like a vowel in a word. Even in what I do, coloring objects or rooms, I try to fit everything at once.

@BayouBomber I’ve been trying to cure my abysmal taste in color, and what I’ve gleaned is that color compliments are like separate greyscales.

It’s a way of creating depth without just using black and white.
