@biggestsonicfan The moment you disconnect communication to the CIC, the N64 will simply stop. These special checks are triggered when the game detects that the CIC 6105 challenge / response algorithm is not working. This will happen when playing with a flash cart that usually uses CIC 6102.
Today we have released Dinosaur Planet by Rare for Nintendo 64. The development was halted and moved to the GameCube, where it was then released as Star Fox Adventures. Enjoy! (More info in this thread).

@kurtjmeyoung@UFp64@AshEvans81@Official64Mate@shanebattye From time to time a could work a bit on the project. Still didn't upload everything on github.
I think the UltraPIF will be available in some shops soon. There are some features I want to add sometime, but the main region free feature is working almost 100%.
@UFp64@kurtjmeyoung@AshEvans81@Official64Mate@shanebattye The FPGA is handling the RCP interface and buffers requests / responses. It also has interfaces to controllers, EEPROM and CIC. The STM is doing the hard work. I uploaded the STM's code here some weeks ago:
