The front court/Center logjam the thunder have is overstated imo, to stick in the NBA sorber projects to be a hybrid 4/small ball 5 which is very interesting considering how that could fit with chet. Ihart is a guaranteed good player for now as mara is in the pipeline
this the most excited I am for a prospect since 2022. This is a real PU threat and PNR engine. adds a much needed and completely different aspect to the thunder
@_AnalyticsGuy in some aspects yea because they’ll probably still attempt to put wings on chet and a big on sorber, but him being a guy that can meaningfully guard on the perimeter can change a lot of the dynamics on defense and can allow chet to guard some more primary actions
everyone is boxing him into being a 5 but if he loses some weight for increased mobility and the shot comes around(big if) I have the upmost confidence in him being a good NBA player. that georgetown tape was pretty crazy
Sorber’s offense is fried, but he’s one of the smartest defensive 18/19 year olds we seen this decade
Pray that jumper comes & lets roll, this can still be a special 4
like the concerns are valid, he’s an undersized center who is fa and coming off an acl. so there’s def cause for concern but if he can find his way as a 4/small ball 5 he can be a pretty good player. That D tape at georgetown was crazy and he generated stocks at a crazy clip
i’m pretty much happy with any players the thunder draft that have significant offensive skills/lend to the thunder playing a more offensive based game
@Okie_KJ im a fan of a few guards in this class, i just think if u trade up to 6 the guard i would like in tha range will probably be gone at 5 and the other ones u dont have to trade up for
