ગુજરાતી ભાષામાં 'ણ' અક્ષરના શબ્દો કેમ ભુલાવી દેવાયા?

સામાન્ય રીતે બારાક્ષરી ભણતી વખતે તમે સાંભળ્યું હશે કે ગુજરાતી ભાષામાં 'ણ' અક્ષરથી શરુ થતો કોઈ શબ્દ નથી. મારા સંશોધનમાં એ ધ્યાનમાં આવ્યું છે કે ભગવદગોમંડલ કોશમાં 'ણ' થી શરુ થતા વીસ જેટલા શબ્દ આપેલા છે. એમાંથી એક બે- ને બાદ કરતાં બધા જ શબ્દો આજે પણ ઉપયોગમાં લઈ શકાય એવા છે.

મધ્યકાલીન સાહિત્યમાં 'ણ' નો ભરપૂર ઉપયોગ થયો છે. એના વગર મધ્યકાલીન સાહિત્ય અધૂરું છે.'ણંદિ' શબ્દના તો ભગવદગોમંડલમાં અગિયાર જેટલા અર્થ આપેલ છે. એ પરથી સ્પષ્ટ થાય કે આ બધા જ શબ્દો ખૂબ મોટા પ્રમાણમાં પ્રયોજાતા હશે. તો હવે પ્રશ્ન એ થાય કે અર્વાચીનકાળમાં 'ણ' ના શબ્દોને શા માટે ભૂલાવી દેવાયા? આટલા શબ્દ ઉપલબ્ધ હતા તો નાના બાળકોની દેશીહિસાબની ચોપડી કે બારાખડીની ચોપડીમાં 'ણ' નો કોઈ શબ્દ કેમ ન ભણાવાયો?. નીચે આપેલા 'ણ' થી શરુ થતા શબ્દોમાંથી કોઈ પણ શબ્દ ભણાવી શકાય.

મારું માનવું છે કે ક કમળનો ક...ન નદીનો ન... તો ણ ણગનો ણ....'ણગ' એટલે પર્વત એમ 'ણ' ને ભણાવવો જોઈએ.
