@CosmicWheel_ @YoungJainsIndia The map is not correct . Chandragupta Maurya never attacked Kalinga as it was the kingdom of deity of Jinna, a jain kingdom hence he did not conquer it. Ashoka converted to Buddhism and later attacked and annexed Kalinga.

Veetaraaginam concept of Samanar is used by Hindus later. Theerthankarar is a Veeta Raaga god by definition. It is explained by Tiruvalluvar in Tirukkural quite well

Hindu gods are not defined as Veeta Raaga gods at all, and they intervene in people's lives often.

For example, in Atma Bodha, ascribed to Sankara we find this phrase. But Atma Bodha is not by original Sankara but by a later author.

veetaraaga concept is told in Tirukkural 4.

வேண்டுதல் வேண்டாமை இலானடி சேர்ந்தார்க்கு
யாண்டும் இடும்பை இல.
vēṇṭutal vēṇṭāmai ilāṉaṭi cērntārkku
yāṇṭum iṭumpai ila

i.e., No evil will befall those who reach the feet Of the One beyond likes and dislikes.
