@GayBearRes Happening at small and mid tier companies for sure - almost no one left in the US . Large presence in India , and hiring strictly there . PE owned companies specialize in this :(
@SenSanders While you are right, this needs to also include L1 visas ( where local hires from other countries are simply transferred over to the US) as well as offshored jobs. A lot of companies of all sizes are laying off in the US while hiring in India and other places .
@lhfang Even big tech companies like Microsoft , Amazon etc have dev centers in India . They hire thousands of people there , then bring some over regularly via another kind of visa (L1) claiming they could not find local talent . Look up their employee numbers in India and the # of L1s
