A writer, a blogger, a speaker, a bibliophile too. I am all about the power of Communications. I abide by the strength of the written and the spoken word.
@yoonshabnami The man was famous for two things. His chain-smoking and his ability to write song verses on cigarette boxes. In spite of his talent as a song writer, composers like S.D. Burman and O.P. Nayyar never liked working with him because he often went about things too casually.
@SHEKARSUSHEEL The music of all three films was tepid and mediocre. The films worked and that helped the songs. In truth, they were made compulsory hits by being played repeatedly over various channels, something that used to be true of most of L-P's films, post the 1960s.
@SupriyaShrinate Ma'am whatever be your opinion, is it right on your part to be addressing the PM directly in such a manner? Even if holding divergent views, at least basic courtesy and decorum is solicited when responding to the nation's Premier.
@Bandopadhyay_ The 80s were the worst years for film music. There was a revival as late as 1988 when the younger breed of composers started making headway. The 1990s were great years for music.
@Aloksharmaaicc Empty barrels make the maximum noise! The failed dynast and politician keeps making hollow statements like peddling rusted wares. Sadly for him there are no takers for his skewed narratives.
@nashitosh04 The programme remained a true barometer of success till 1964. After that Ameen Sayani started playing his games and got busy promoting the younger breed of composers, as around that time the senior composers launched a tirade against the countdown, which badly hurt his ego.
@Aloksharmaaicc India is the 5th largest economy in the world with a GDP of USD 3.5 trillion; over 5 years, the GDP growth rate has remained stable above 6.4% That's what according to a failed dynast and politician ranks as a dead economy.
@MohdSha66621889 It is untrue that there was an outrage at the Dharam-Hema marriage. Though there were debates in magazines and journals, nobody took offence to it. It was soon cast aside as an issue between two mature adults. I don't think the matter ever came up in the Parliament.
@KshitizCritic This video did not really succeed because of its largely filmi tone and feel. The tune was quite lackluster and failed to evoke the intended patriotic sentiment among the listeners. If at all people talked about it, it was only for the stars who lip-synced it.
@BombayBasanti You people are best at writing crap. The L-P duo was mediocre for the major part and in fact, destroyed music in the 1980s, bringing a bad name to their predecessors.
@yansan The same L-P destroyed music in the 1980s. Early on, their tactic was to undercut their seniors and grab banners. They did succeed but in the later years their subterfuge was exposed when they attempted a shameless monopoly and compromised on quality that led to their downfall.
@Lonely_prabh I quite agree. Aamir has visibly aged over the past decade and his boyish looks faded much before that. He perhaps, has a misguided view of his image, especially when older heroes of his age are still in demand. The great actor that he is, he should opt for mature roles now.
@akshaykumar Mr. Akshay, I don't think you are at the age anymore to be prancing around with young girls. You should play roles according to your age instead of making vain attempts at proving that you still are the youthful romantic. Adapt to the times, and time will treat you well.
Madam Mamata Banerjee, you cannot hide your failure on crimes against women.
I know @NCWIndia has become a nightmare for you because it exposed the truth you tried to hide.
I thank my leadership for giving me the opportunity to serve as a Member of NCW and work for West Bengal. I gave my 100 percent to expose the truth.
Your intentional silence and attempts to suppress cases, including tampering with evidence and lack of cooperation from the administration, stand exposed.
During my tenure, I visited Beldanga, Mothabari, Murshidabad riots, Kasba Law College gangrape, Durgapur IQ City case and many more. The list is endless.
In just 15 months, cases from West Bengal surged from 5,000 to 15,000. Yet you chose denial over justice and ignored multiple recommendations.
Despite all obstacles, I stood with the women of Bengal.
Today, the women of West Bengal have answered. You have been rejected.
@blsanthosh
@amittalwalkar Despite all, the film was just a commission earner. It suffered because of a confused plot-line and too many similarities to Salim-Javed's earlier, 'Deewar'. Amitabh's character was sketchy. A son who despises his father going on the other side of law carried little conviction.
