On Armistice Day, we pause together at 11am to reflect and remember.
The tradition of silence was introduced by King George V so that “the thoughts of everyone may be concentrated on reverent remembrance of the glorious dead.”
11 o’clock was chosen as the moment the Armistice came into effect on the Western Front—bringing an end to four years of brutal conflict.
Join us in honouring those we commemorate across the world

Today, we pause to remember all those who served, sacrificed, and gave their lives for our freedom. Their courage and their legacy live on. 💙
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
