@LaurenCraun Camarillo is about 40 miles north of LA. Carmel where Clint Eastwood was once mayor is about 320 miles north of LA. Camarillo is about 25 minutes from Malibu. So sadly nowhere near Vegas. :)

The gameday experience at schools like OU is not about the average fan anymore. The days of seeing every home game with your family going away - unless you are wealthy.

I thought college football could still hold on to the feeling of community that it once had while also compensating players. I was wrong. The transfer portal has turned college sports (especially at the highest levels) into nothing more than fundraising competitions.

So seeing that OU is basically pulling a page out of the Turnpike Authority playbook and telling folks, "Sorry, but we're building here and you gotta move," is not the least bit surprising. And much like with the OTA, you are hearing quotes like, "We did studies and this is what the studies said are best."

They don't care about the studies. They don't care about you. It's all a means to justify an end, and the end is the richest fans being happy and giving more money to the program.

Is it disgusting? Sure.

It is surprising? Not one bit.

Is it going to change? Not a chance.

Good for the radio crew though. I bet their new booth is sweet!
