@stewonstroke I mean, dorofeyev is more talented but it’s close imo. even if we compare then as dead even:
The difference is pick 4 is worth the entire package they sent for Dorofeyev. not to mention ANOTHER first AND an elite PK, middle 6 C
@snowhurricane44@CMDeDominicis Also, the two players you just drafted have similar value to the pick imo still. You can still turn around and trade morozov, our situation isn’t all that different
@snowhurricane44@CMDeDominicis funny thing is, when you acquire a player for a roster that’s full, you have to move someone out. Perhaps Kulich/Ostlund. not to mention the plethora of prospects
@brian_mulhern@CMDeDominicis I strongly disagree with your take… Tuch was an own rental, and we managed to get a 3rd. Replaced Byram with Zellweger, a Byram lite who’s younger and who won’t put them in cap jail.
While adding an elite RHD prospect (Making Mrtka a trade chip), and a middle 6 C Prospect
@Lime_0_Nade@Tornhockeyfan@HockeyYearning I agree, but i still feel like that return is a massive overpay. they value reid exceptionally high hence would do a Knies move for a top 5 pick, plus you add a first round level center prospect who’s NHL ready and can potentially be better than Knies alone
@Lime_0_Nade@Tornhockeyfan@HockeyYearning Well in this case Knies goes west. Preliminary talks being frondell and 4th, vs what they would actually settle for is way different. Kulich + a 3rd is less than frondell but it’s still a large chunk on top of pick 4
@NikLynam If Jarmo gives up what is being rumored you guys rob the Sabres blind…
No goalie of this magnitude has been traded recently yes.
But look at the Ullmark, Markstrom, and even Ryan Miller packages
I can’t fathom these prices
