Are you trying to learn Python? I've got a new series bringing you through beginner to advanced topics.

@Cheesecak_Mafia That's an interesting idea. I've considered doing a series on project design. Maybe that's along the lines of what you're thinking?
I've done a very abbreviated version of that in the past, but it may have been too long to gain traction.

@willmcgugan I sometimes feel like I'm failing my Irish half by not really drinking since I was ~22.
I'll have the occasional Scotch or similar, but you don't drink that enough to feel it.
Never did have a hangover though..
@Hasen_Judi Nah. All PRs all the time.
I setup code checks for even my personal repos and will submit PRs to myself. Better to have the peace of mind than get burned later.
@charliermarsh@penberg I prefer to squash commits into logical chunks when a OR is large enough. The chunks should be broken into distinct features that can be individually reverted without destroying the functionality of the others.
@willmcgugan Ok, that is an impressive amount of attention to detail for something as "simple" as text selection.
Also being able to select horizontally without vertical selection (and the other way around) is just so good.
Do you have a PR up for this?
When I'm interviewing a candidate, their GitHub is the MOST important thing for me.
Consistency is great to see in an activity graph. But also have at least one project you're actively working on.
Bonus for interacting with an established project/community!
@LowLevelTweets At the end of the day, most basic tools will allow you to get the job done.
However, trying out new things (and customization) adds a nice layer of enjoyment to the day-to-day flow.
And that's how I justify all the new things!!
