A a game is deemed congested if it is played within 4 days of the previous fixture.

@Jaccovanolst Yes, I have some Premier League data to check if the demands have changed. I also want to have a look at fixture scheduling and see if the players have more congested periods now.

@Jaccovanolst Yeah that was my initial thought, Declan Rice recently spoke about playing 68 games last year! Iโd be interested to see if/how the physical demands of the game have changed but donโt have the data to do that across the leagues unfortunately.

Data from players competing in Europe's top five leagues since 2012 shows U20 players miss more games than older players when they suffer a hamstring injury.
Data from players involved in the Big 5 leagues since the 2018/19 season shows the time-loss impact of sustaining an injury is greater for young players.
On average, a 20 year old player will miss two more games when injured than a 30 year old professional.
Hamstring injuries have been the most common cause for absences across the Big 5 leagues, accounting for over 14% of all injuries.
This season, hamstring injuries have typically left players out for 26 days and missing 4 games.
Liverpool and Juventus have had the highest injury burden across Europe's Big 5 this season, their players have missed a combined total of 54 games as a result of injury.
