It is so frustrating that it has taken the City of Alexandria SIX YEARS to try and repair a trail. It still doesn't look anywhere close to being completed by September, and I rarely see any work taking place at site 3.

@JMilesColeman I have expected Fairfax, Loudoun, Arlington and Alexandria to start moving more to the right. As the area becomes hyper-wealthy (2+ mil homes normal)....they are going to vote more for tax breaks that benefit them.

Would love to see earlier Early Voting dates for West End residents at Beatley Library. Stinks that it doesn't open until almost the end of October.

I know it's probably a staffing/logistics issue...but hey one can ask! 🤣

@fakedansavage Thank you for posting this. Growing up in a family that dealt with addiction, I made the decision to not drink or do drugs at an early age. The level of isolation and judgement I faced from the gay community was SO much harder than any homophobia I ever met from being gay.

Sigh... the Holmes Run Trail repairs were originally projected to be completed by end of 2024. Now updates say parts won't be complete till 2026. Wish projects on the West End got more priority. @Alyia4ALX, hopefully you and the city council can somehow work to speed this up.

The Holmes Run Trail is still closed at Van Dorn, the bridge underpass has been closed forever, and trying to reconnect up with the trail detour is pretty dangerous on a bike. @justindotnet @AlexandriaVAGov Any idea when repairs will be made??

Had a very negative encounter with a @AmyJacksonVA rep accosting our decision before we went into vote.

Saying "She's going to put in high rises!" Lady, we live in a high rise, as do most Alexandrians on the West End!

They changed it to "restored" around 8pm...even though we are still without power. Resubmitted outage report...there is no update, no estimate either. 22304 zip code

@justindotnet @DominionEnergy Same thing with us the system reported that power was restored after we put in an outage report. We had to resubmit it. I think they are just clearing request to make it look like they don't have a backlog.

Fitbit ending Challenges is one of the worst decisions I've seen a company make. The only reason to stay with Fitbit over a Samsung or Apple smartwatch is the community and competition aspects that Fitbit brings. It's why I have stayed until now.
