For years I thought following Christ was just about getting saved and going to heaven.
But it’s so much deeper than that.
It’s about being refined, tested, and prepared to rule with Him in His coming Kingdom over the earth.
Most people still miss that.
Tribulation is God’s refining process.
It exposes the heart, separates the flesh-led from the Spirit-led, and reveals who’s truly worthy to reign with Christ in His Kingdom.
That’s why Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:3,
“Do you not know that we will judge angels?”
We’re being prepared for something far greater than most realize.
God originally appointed heavenly beings to rule over the nations (Deut. 32:8, Psalm 82).
But they grew prideful, rebelled, and fell.
Now these fallen elohim stir up the nations in defiance, trying to reclaim what they lost,
and it all leads to one final war against Jerusalem at Armageddon. (Zechariah 14, Revelation 16–19).
Walking with God isn’t a one-time decision,
it’s a daily dying to the flesh.
Only those who stay on the narrow path of obedience, humility, and surrender will be glorified with Christ and reign with Him.
That’s the opposite of what the fallen sons of God did, they chased self-glory and lost everything.
It’s not about being perfect or sinless.
It’s about faithful obedience, a heart that says:
“God, I want You more than I want my sin. I trust Your ways over my own.”
It’s a posture of surrender.
Jerusalem will be the literal headquarters of Christ’s kingdom on Earth during His thousand-year reign (Revelation 20).
This fulfills God’s covenant with David (2 Samuel 7) and most Christians today have no idea that this is the future we’re actually heading toward.
The ultimate goal isn’t just individual salvation,
it’s the redemption of all creation.
Eden was where heaven and earth met, and Christ’s return begins the restoration of that unity.
The resurrection is about glorified humanity reigning on a restored Earth, with God dwelling among His people again (Revelation 21).
God is raising up a faithful remnant to reign with Christ after the refining fire has done its work.
This life is preparation.
The Kingdom is coming.
And only those who walk the narrow path will be ready when it does.

You have obligations in life that sometimes mean you don’t get to do exactly what you want to do at that exact moment and somehow we’ve decided that this doesn’t apply just so long as the thing you want to do has anything at all to do with your sexuality.
A lot of depression is just choosing instant gratification to relieve the discomfort of not having chosen delayed gratification and getting stuck in a vicious cycle.
