@JoshuaLisec I think the host is missing a key concept. The circumstances of our lives can help explain our sin but don’t excuse it. We are responsible for what comes out of our hearts. “If you been where I’ve been you might do what I do. “ God cares about our story.
@DZRishmawy On his podcast he claims the church didnt attempt to discipline him. He also says he’s thankful they didn’t because he would have jumped through all the hoops to be restored. What he doesnt realize is one of those “hoops” would have been genuine humility which he obviously lacks
@JoeRicketts23@voiceofcohen2 That’s true. I honestly agree the Bellinger trade is inevitable. Say the Phillies sign Bregman, how about Suzuki for Bohm and Castellanos? Who hangs up first?
@JoeRicketts23@voiceofcohen2 I ultimately agree with you but also understand why Cubs mouthpieces are suggesting this.I wouldn’t be surprised if Bellinger stays and it’s Suzuki who gets traded.
@JoeRicketts23@voiceofcohen2 I heard the same about Madrigal/Morel. Cubs as a org seem willing to take some risks at the hot corner. Busch at 2b and Shaw 3b also possible. Most likely scenario is a trade but suggesting we can play Busch elsewhere helps maintain leverage. We don’t HAVE to trade Bellinger.
@69sco_ @KFCBarstool It’s on both of them. As a Cubs fan I’ve definitely seen Rizzo make that play when necessary by sliding feet first into the bag. Seems he didn’t realize Cole wasn’t going to get there.
If you’re happy and thriving as an individual contributor, there is nothing wrong with staying there and becoming the expert in your organization.
Companies like to dangle people management above ICs as it should be everyone’s aspiration.
They’ll use phrases like, “make an impact” or “more exposure (to leadership)” or “the next step in your career”
Yet, it’s often significantly more work with not very much pay, at least in the front line manager role.
And for what it’s worth, I’ve seen ICs who are so good at what they do, they earn more than their bosses and in some cases, their bosses boss (Especially true in tech).
There’s something special about shutting it down at 5 and going home and only having to worry about yourself.
