@Z__McCarthy that's cool anyway sorry to hear that you find newspeak controversial or divisive we must be free of divisiveness lets not crimethink too hard here #letsgobigbrother
@hardclass2020 Human beings are inherently creative animals- even in the most brutal of circumstances, we are designed to create (e.g. prison art, etc.)- no confluence of policies, no matter how repressive, can limit our core creativity completely.
@liammurphyreads@OldTakesExposed does Twitter exist in the world of 1984? the only risk of a bad prediction is somebody calling you out. Not only can Big Brother change what they said, they can stop anybody from mentioning anything about it.
I'm not sure who first said that "the winners write the history books", but it's terrifying to consider how many of our historical ideas and concepts have been shaped by a government and cultural oligarchy that I sincerely hope is less malicious than "Big Brother"
@hardclass2020 The great thing about the humanities is that they lack objective truth, unlike science where the objective truth is that Facebook groups hold all the best answers
@hardclass2020 if I can't have a perfect culture explain why I can get a large iced tea at McDonalds for a mere 1.25 that's the real sweetness people should have been going after
