As part of the Ministry of Interior’s vision to strengthen women’s leadership, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Brigadier Chra Ahmed Latif as Acting Head of the Internal Security Forces Court/2 — the first woman to hold this senior position.
Congratulations to her on this well-deserved recognition, and wishing her continued success.
Minister @RayberAhmed expressed his deep appreciation to the @USChamber and the many American companies that have invested in the Kurdistan Region, underscoring the Region’s commitment to a stable, business-friendly environment and long-term partnership.
I was honoured to welcome Dr. Mohamed Al Hassan, UN Special Representative for Iraq & Head of @UNIraq. We discussed regional issues, the refugee and IDP situation, and the need to address them, while highlighting #KRG-Federal Government relations and ongoing efforts to resolve pending issues.
On the occasion of #UN Global Safety Road Week, I reaffirmed the #KRG Ministry of Interior’s commitment to safer roads across the #Kurdistan Region. Our efforts focus on enhancing infrastructure, expanding traffic surveillance, advancing driver education, and raising public awareness about the dangers of speeding and driving under the influence. Road safety is a shared responsibility. By working together, we can save lives.
