Warm greetings on the occasion of Independence Day.
We remember with gratitude the countless freedom fighters whose courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment ensured the end of colonial rule. Their dreams continue to inspire us as we work together to build a Viksit Bharat.
Powered by 140 crore Indians, our nation is scaling new heights of progress across different sectors. May this journey keep progressing at an even greater pace in the times to come.
Since when did corporate deadlines become an excuse to ignore the law and the customer's voice?
@HDFCERGOGIC has ignored customers request and renewed policies without consent because it was 'year-end.'
Accountability matters.

We’ve lost a giant today. He wasn't just a magnificent creature; he was a global legend. The land feels emptier without him.
It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of a true natural wonder. 🙏

Early this morning, Amboseli National Park, Kenya - and indeed the world - lost a true icon. Craig, the legendary super tusker famed for its immense, ground-sweeping tusks and calm, dignified presence, passed on at the age of 54.
Born in January 1972 to the great matriarch Cassandra of the CB family, Craig lived a life that few elephants ever do.
Craig was one of the last remaining super tuskers in Africa - a rare class of bull elephants whose two tusks weigh over 45 kilograms (100 lbs) each. Fewer than a handful remain today, making him a living monument to Africa’s natural heritage.
He fathered a number of calves, ensuring that his powerful bloodline and gentle character live on across generations.
Beyond its extraordinary tusks, Craig was deeply loved for its remarkably calm nature. He appeared to understand its place in the world - often pausing patiently as visitors photographed and filmed him. Widely documented and admired globally, he became a true ambassador of Amboseli and a symbol of what successful conservation looks like.
In 2021, Craig was proudly adopted by East African Breweries Limited (EABL) through the Tusker brand, reflecting his worldwide appeal. His long life and survival to such maturity were made possible through decades of dedicated protection by Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), working in close collaboration with conservation partners and the local community.
Continuous monitoring, anti-poaching efforts, habitat protection, and community stewardship ensured that Craig lived freely and safely - demonstrating what collective commitment to wildlife conservation can achieve.
Drop a memory of Craig down below and let's celebrate its legacy. #TunzaMaliYako
Delighted to welcome my friend, President Putin to India. Looking forward to our interactions later this evening and tomorrow. India-Russia friendship is a time tested one that has greatly benefitted our people.
@KremlinRussia_E
In Andhra Pradesh, we saw those who swore to protect environment ruthlessly cut down trees, destroyed forests and enabled the smuggling of our vital ecological resources for selfish gain. And then, on the other end of the spectrum, we have a humble person whose life was a total dedication to nature - Saalumarada Thimmakka, the woman known simply as the "Mother of Trees."
From a small village in Karnataka, Thimmakka and her husband found their life's purpose when they couldn't have children. They chose to raise a family of green. With pure love and daily labour, they gifted the world a breathtaking canopy, planting and nurturing over 8,000 trees, including 375 majestic banyan trees. Her life was not about seeking power or wealth; it was a vow of unconditional love to Mother Earth.
Today, at 114 years young, this legendary protector of nature has finally left us. Her life is a powerful lesson in true public service. On behalf of JanaSena, I offer my deepest respects to the great Saalumarada Thimmakka.
We have lost our mother of Trees, but her spirit remains with us. She continues to inspire us all to work toward environmental conservation, to plant trees in our communities, and to become the responsible citizens our planet desperately needs.
@nsitharaman 🚨 Is it just me, or are insurance companies in India forcing auto-debit without proper consent? This feels like a direct violation of customer rights & RBI guidelines. @RBI @IRDAIOfficial - Is this the "policy" to let businesses cheat citizens? #pmoindia#India
The people in our beloved government don't want to see that citizens contribute more willingly to charitable causes and places of worship, festivals, beggars, etc, than through mandatory taxes.
Very let down by our MP @PandaJay committee inability to protect tax players. Giving tax officials more powers without independent safeguards betrays interests of citizens. When will our MP’s and Parliament stand up for citizens? @PMOIndia@narendramodi@Tejasvi_Surya@nsitharaman
A significant milestone for Mahindra Agri North America @Mahindra_USA
I vividly remember when our company tentatively introduced our tractors to the USA more than 3 decades ago.
We had a legendary colleague, Rip Evans who—dressed in his trademark ironed jeans and cowboy hat & boots—would load one tractor at a time on his beat-up pickup truck and drive around Texas introducing sceptical farmers to this ‘sturdy Indian tractor!’
We’ve traveled a good distance since then to become a major player in the North American Ag Equipment market.
But we will stay humble, retain our challenger mindset and continued to focus on the needs of our customers—farmers who work tirelessly to feed a continent and who deserve the best we can offer.

The Waqf (Amendment) Bill is a weapon aimed at marginalising Muslims and usurping their personal laws and property rights.
This attack on the Constitution by the RSS, BJP and their allies is aimed at Muslims today but sets a precedent to target other communities in the future.
The Congress party strongly opposes this legislation as it attacks the very idea of India and violates Article 25, the Right to Freedom of Religion.
Remembering the courageous Rani Velu Nachiyar on her birth anniversary! She waged a heroic fight against colonial rule, showing unparalleled valour and strategic brilliance. She inspired generations to stand against oppression and fight for freedom. Her role in furthering women empowerment is also widely appreciated.

After watching Rahuls first speech as Leader of Opposition - full of shameless & unforgivable lies and divisiveness as INDI campaign was in these Elections - I am putting out there what I had said in 2018
