@josephazam Sorry you experienced this. We had a similarly remarkably unprofessional experience with Airbnb customer service recently. Complete with audible scoffing at us, after we were forced to move our kids in the middle of the night. Won’t use it again.
@ask_aubry I will say, it is refreshing to read the comments and be reminded that social media brings out the worst in everyone, not just men. It’s an equal opportunity thing.
@ask_aubry Sounds like they are both under a huge amount of stress. Husband sounds like an involved, supportive parent who had a breakdown. Probably not actually related to the party. Maybe other stressors not surfaced in this blurb. Maybe couple should seek therapy.
@AirbnbHelp had to leave our Airbnb in the middle of the night last night due to COCKROACHES IN THE BED. Your response has been impressively unhelpful. Think it’s hotels from here on out.
Finding a gym in lower manhattan is baffling. Gyms either cost $20 per month or $150+ per month. The former are grimy franchises, the latter are swanky day spas. Also, they all expect monthly memberships when everyone is now working hybrid. Big gaps in the market.
@bobbyfijan Does this mean “households with kids currently living in them”? If so, isn’t part of this explained by an aging population? Would be interesting to see this in terms of total households, not just %.
@baileymeyers Cupboard, from reading a series of books called The Indian in the Cupboard. The word is used approximately 1M times in the book and every time I would read it as cup-board (despite being familiar with the correct pronunciation when spoken).
