This will allow any merchant to start accepting lightning payments, store them as VTXOs on disk, and withdraw their earnings to onchain.

Love it. I anticipate people wanting to run barkd in the cloud for uptime reasons, so it's important to utilize these new isolation technologies to prevent cloud hosts from being able to snoop in on your Bitcoin private keys.

Inspired by @notgrubles, I got barkd by @secondhq running in an Azure Confidential VM (AMD SEV-SNP) - keys isolated in hardware-encrypted memory the cloud operator can't read.

I got barkd running in an AWS Nitro Enclave, serving its REST API to the host instance using vsock.

Since barkd is running in a TEE, wallet keys exist only in hardware-isolated memory that even the server operator can't read.
