KUKI NARCO-TERRORISTS ATTACK NVG BUNKERS

📍Teikhang, Along the IT Road, Kangpokpi, Senapati, Manipur.

Heavily armed Kuki narco-terrorist forces launched a series of synchronized assaults, targeting key Naga Village Guard (NVG) along the T. Road) bunker positions aimed to breach the first line of defense. Naga guards in the bunkers responded with determined resistance, engaging in intense close-quarter fire. The assault follows weeks of build-ups in the Teikhang region.

BACKGROUND

▫️This direct assault on fortified NVG positions marks a significant escalation by Kuki militants groups, moving around the boundary and random ambushes to target key defensive infrastructure.

▫️These bunker attacks are believed to be another attempt to break Naga's presence in areas deserted by narco-terrorist operations.

CURRENT STATUS

▫️NVG forces across the line are now in high alert and reinforcing positions.

▫️Initial reports confirm several Kuki attackers were repelled with casualties.

▫️Heavy fighting continues in the perimeter for two a fwwward bunker positions. Reinforce deployed the area.

▫️Civilians in nearby villages have been advised to shelter in safer places.

This premeditated attack is suspected to be based on a social media post shared by a WhatsApp group called "KUKI THUSOH" wherein the caption on the image is read as " Tomorrow first match EVVZ/UTV Squad Vs NSCN-IM squad at 3:00"

We urge the concerned authorities to look into the matter ASAP and prevent from further escalation and the safety of the civilians around the areas.

Mores details about the casualties are awaited.

—Recently, tension and violence broke out in the Taphou area of Manipur's Senapati district on August 24, 2026, leading to arson and a gunfight that injured a CRPF personnel.
Today, suspected Kuki Militant's drone were seen hovering the Taphou Naga Village hill top which raises a serious security concern among the villagers.

We urge the concerned authorities to look into the matter ASAP and ensure the safety of the civilians.
