@ScoringChanges The issue I had was the tag before he hit the base actually interfered with his ability to grab the base, and then the continued tag forced his arm off of the base.
@Brett_A_Taylor I agree, but the bigger question is why does he get caught stealing so often? He’s so fast, has great instincts, and typically gets a good jump. It doesn’t make any sense.
@CubsWorld80 I don’t get it? If your weak spot is bullpen arms, why do the Cubs put themselves in the position of having to use 4-6 pitchers every game? SPs can go more than 5-6, rested bullpen arms can pitch more than one inning.
"Thought it'd be a good Father's Day present."
Miles Russell got the OK from the U.S. Open's Rules Committee, then brought in his dad to caddie for the final hole of his first U.S. Open.
The 17-year-old made par to complete an even-par 70 at Shinnecock Hills.
10/10 Father's Day for Miles and Joe Russell ❤️
@Big_Hoss98@Michael_Cerami 23 games, 9 ABs. It’s clear Counsell doesn’t want to play him and he’s out of options, so they either waste a bench bat on him or they’ll have to trade/ DFA him.
@Big_Hoss98@Michael_Cerami Four games, 1 AB. It’s going to get to the point where something will have to happen bc Counsell has not given him a chance the last three years.
@TheWrigleyWire@SirRandyD More importantly he hit the ball where it was thrown, not trying to yank the ball with a high exit velocity. Situational hitting!!!!
@Brett_A_Taylor@obvious_shirts I’m old enough to live through watching the 80s-90s teams. They were bad but they were still fun and played hard. Im sure this team is trying hard, but they are the flattest team I can remember. They make the September 2018 team look down right exciting.
@windell_11 @jacobzanolla Agreed. But the issue with Ross and Counsell have been poor bullpen management. There is a reason both have had bullpens consistently break down, and why both were poor in one run games. And there is no correlation to pitch count and injury in adults.
@DEvanAltman This was known before the Cubs traded for him, and why the trade made no sense considering Wrigley has the deepest corners in MLB. Those HRs in Tampa or Houston are fly outs at Wrigley.
@davekeating77@MikeGrinnell_ And isn’t Solder Field built on an old landfill? I think I remember that from when they renovated Soldier Field, why is why they couldn’t dig down too far and why the current stadium structure sits so much higher than the protected pillars.
