🚨💣 𝐌𝐀𝐉𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Sheikh Mansour will sell Manchester City if the appeal fails, according to UAE expert Christopher M. Davidson. 🇦🇪🔵😳

He says the ruling family would feel embarrassed and disgraced.

Would rather cut losses than leave the ownership tainted in England.

Do you realise whose memories you stole?

Sunderland, Watford and Stoke fans could’ve been celebrating the first major trophy in their clubs history.

Those 6 points you stole from relegated teams could’ve completely changed the trajectory of where Cardiff, Swansea, Stoke, West Brom, Birmingham, QPR, Bolton and Wigan are today.

And that’s before you even get into the teams who missed out on the UCL/UEL by a couple of points (Leicester fans now have to endure Russell Martin)

Your memories came at the expense of everyone else’s, you’re a disgrace to the sport.

🚨 Sergio Ramos Drops Controversial Manchester United vs Manchester City Verdict:

🗣️“The only big club I know in England is Manchester United. I’ve always dreamed of playing at Old Trafford, but that opportunity never came.

Manchester City has spent years trying to become Manchester United, but history cannot be copied with money.

They want the same recognition, the same global respect, and the same status, but you can’t manufacture history overnight.

That desperation is exactly why they keep finding themselves surrounded by controversy.

If you have to cheat to compete with the biggest club in Manchester, what does that say about your own identity?

Manchester United built its legacy through generations, while City are still trying to convince everyone they belong at the same table.

You can buy players, managers and trophies, but you can’t buy the history of a football club.

For me, Manchester will always be red.”

[Chino @ChinoUTD]

🚨 Sir Alex Ferguson on Manchester City being found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s financial rules:

“I read the news and the first person I thought about was Carlos Tevez.

Funny, isn’t it? After all these years.

We wanted Carlos to stay. David Gill spoke to his representatives, we made our offer, they said we’d left it too late and eventually he went across Manchester.

Then City put up that bloody ‘Welcome to Manchester’ poster.

I remember looking at it and thinking, ‘They haven’t just signed one of our players. They want us to know they can.’

That was when I called them a small club with a small mentality.

But there was something else happening around that period that people forget.

Suddenly City could walk into conversations for players that previously would have been choosing between United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Madrid, Barcelona.

I remember one summer hearing that Adebayor had agreed to join City, then apparently his people were still contacting us and Chelsea.

I thought, ‘What a strange situation. Players who would rather be somewhere else are signing for City anyway.’

At the time, you simply accepted that they had enormous financial power. You competed with it.

That’s football.

But if you then discover years later that rules were being broken during the period in which you’re trying to compete with that financial power, you’re entitled to look back differently.

Because people will say, ‘Ferguson was just angry because City became successful.’

No.

I was angry before they were successful.

I was standing there in 2009 watching them take Tevez, chase players everywhere and put his face on a building to celebrate taking him from us.

Imagine telling me then, ‘Alex, one day the Premier League will investigate how all of this was being financed.’

I’d probably have pointed at the poster and said, ‘You might want to start there.’

And that’s the part people miss when discussing what happened afterwards.

Once you change the financial strength of one club, you don’t only change that club.

You change where players go.

You change what everybody else has to pay.

You change which manager gets which footballer.

You change title races before the first ball is kicked.

People can spend the next twenty years asking whether this player would’ve joined United, whether that player would’ve joined Chelsea, whether somebody else would’ve gone to Arsenal.

Nobody can prove those alternate histories.

But I know this much.

When I was fighting them, I thought I was fighting Manchester City.

Apparently I should’ve brought an accountant.”

I knew from the minute this goal happened it was rigged. YOU CHEATING BASTARDS WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE.

💣 BREAKING : New claims have surfaced surrounding Manchester City’s title-winning game against QPR in 2011/12. 👀

It is being alleged that QPR players received payments from an Abu Dhabi-linked company with instructions to allow Manchester City to win the match and secure the Premier League title.

After City scored their second goal, QPR restarted play by immediately giving the ball back to City rather than attempting to slow the game down or run down the clock. 😳

These claims remain allegations, but they are already sparking fresh debate over the dramatic 2012 finale. 👀

[Kata @utdshows]

🚨🎙️ José Mourinho on Manchester City’s financial charges:

🗣️ “I don’t think people quite understand the magnitude of this situation.

City ruined title races.
City affected relegation battles.
City cost clubs European spots.
City got managers sacked.

If the charges are ultimately upheld, you’re talking about years of Premier League history that could have been affected.

Everton were deducted six points for one breach.

Manchester City have been found guilty of 114.

That’s 684 points if you use the same six-point deduction for every charge.

Obviously, I’m not saying that’s how the punishment should work. I’m saying that when you look at the scale of the findings, you understand why people are demanding serious consequences.

Serie A relegated its biggest club for a whole lot less.

This is potentially one of the biggest scandals football has ever seen, and it cannot simply disappear because Manchester City are one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Because if the rules were broken on this scale, it is not only Manchester City who were affected.

The entire competition was affected.

That is why this is so serious.” 👀

🚨💣 BREAKING: Sir Alex Ferguson speaks on Manchester City guilty of 114 of their 115 Premier League FFP charges:

🗣️Sir Alex:

“I called them the noisy neighbours, didn’t I? There was always something about the way it was all being built that didn’t sit right with me. Now we’re hearing 114 guilty findings out of 115 charges. If those findings stand, that’s an embarrassment for English football and for the Premier League.”

“When the Abu Dhabi takeover happened in 2008, my concern was what that amount of money, without proper scrutiny, could do to the competition. Investment is one thing. Allowing a club to believe it’s above the rules is another. The authorities have a responsibility to make sure ambition never becomes an excuse for corruption.”

“If City cheated their way to the top, they must face the consequences. Proper consequences. You cannot let a club benefit from breaking the rules and then treat the punishment as another expense it can comfortably afford. That makes a mockery of every club trying to compete honestly.”

“I’ve spent my life in football. I’ve seen what this game means to people. Supporters work all week and spend their money believing they’re watching a fair contest. They deserve that honesty. We cannot allow corruption to ruin the beautiful game. No amount of money, no collection of trophies, puts Manchester City or anybody else above it….”

[David de Gea @D_DeGea]

So……

Let’s talk.

How many Premier League titles have I won then? 🤔

🚨💣EXCL: José Mourinho reacts on Manchester City being found guilty on 114 of 115 charges for breaking Premier League financial regulations:

🗣️ Mourinho:

“One hundred and fourteen out of 115? And people thought I was exaggerating when I said finishing second with Manchester United was one of my greatest achievements. They laughed. They said José was making excuses. Perhaps now they understand.”

“If the consequences mean Manchester United are declared champions for 2017/18, then give those players their recognition. They worked, they sacrificed, they competed. I would happily accept that medal. My address has changed, but I am sure the Premier League can find me.”

“The independent commission deserves credit for carrying this investigation through. These things require patience and courage. It does not matter how powerful a club is or how much money it has. The rules must mean the same thing for everybody.

“Football must be fair and free from corruption. Supporters deserve to believe that what they are watching is an honest competition. Players and managers deserve the same opportunity under the same rules. Otherwise, what exactly are we competing for?” #MUFC

A critical element that the "rulebook purists" arguing Balogun deserved a red card are conveniently overlooking:

BALOGUN was the one who was challenged from behind.

The Bosnian player played *through* Balogun from behind and placed himself in the path of Balogun's natural step.

When he begins taking that step, Balogun has no idea the Bosnian player would even be in front of him. In that sense, you can't really even consider his move a "challenge." It was simply a step that incidentally landed in the same place the opponent's foot did.

In fact, the reason Balogun's step came down so hard is *because* the Bosnian player challenged into him and knocked him off balance.

This is not "reckless" or "excessive force" by any stretch of the imagination.

The red card was *obviously* unjustified from the outset. The only thing FIFA got wrong here is not immediately suspending the red card after the match.
