It's worth stressing that Renaker's schemes, and loan applications, are managed through different vehicles. But all these companies are controlled by the founder Daren Whitaker, who is also the sole registered director of parent company Renaker Build

A year ago I did an FOI to find out how much public money was going to one Manchester developer, Renaker - the answer was lots and lots

Now the combined authority is about to approve another £140m

Renaker will have received £528.2m - 56% of the total
