Grateful to share at #AOCC2025 in beautiful 🇯🇵 on our experience with monogenic / very early onset #ibd : we should let the precision of pathway-specific therapeutics in monogenic IBD be a goal for IBD management in ALL age groups, rather than Russian roulette 🔫
Will it ever be possible to find a definitive cure for #inflammatoryboweldiseases? Find out most recent developments towards this ambitious goal in our latest review edited by @dnoviello_93 Chiara Amoroso @federicafacciot and Maurizio Vecchi. https://t.co/yBYpZTuR4J.
🇸🇬 🇲🇾 the unique #SouthAsian#ibd phenotype in our Asian context, with ⬆️perianal disease, poorer longer term outcomes. We all recognise that SA patient hanging at the therapeutic ceiling: festering, smoldering colitis, ⬇️ robust biologic response.

@KewinSiah Ditto. Our medical students know way more about biologics and inflammatory bowel disease than lactulose and functional constipation. Something has got to change 🤜
Another successful educational effort by APPSPGHAN virtually in Manila 🇵🇭 to shore up awareness of #paediatric IBD in Asia 🇸🇬 🇰🇷 🇮🇳 #ibd#appspghan . The second masterclass and many more to come ❤️
@SingtelSupport I lost my data roaming while overseas: no mobile network/no data. Reset the phone/turned the airplane mode on and off. Called 1688 but there was little they could do. Everything was working fine for the past week till 3 hours ago ?? #singtel Reliability yeah? 😏
@DrAnuraagJ@rafeeq_rm We likewise found a very high prevalence of VEO-IBD ~30% in our Southeast Asian network cohort . Of course it varies whether you classify monogenic IBD as a primary immunodeficiency or as an “IBD” 😉

I find it amazing that some consultants seem to have forgotten the terrifying feeling of being junior, needing help, and being refused it.
The tachycardia. The nausea. Please, PLEASE don't be the consultant that does that to others. #professionalism#MedEd
