@GWRHelp I managed to speak to the crew on the train (who were fantastic) and we’ve got to Chippenham and they have held the train.
Probably near 60 people wanting to get connecting train so thank you to Swindon for holding it
@GWRHelp 17:30 Paddington to Chippenham cancelled. So jumped on the 16:45.
That is now running late and means I will miss my connecting train at Swindon.
Not another train till 19:25.
What do you expect us to do? Will the 17:44 from Swindon be held for a few minutes?
I had a look at an anytime and an super off peak advanced but it’s saying £169. I do journey twice a week and don’t have £1350 a month to spend on trains.
An anytime return was coming up as £225, which is just way to much.
I travel from Chippenham to Paddington.
Thanks 👌🏽
@GWRHelp
Hi, I’m trying to work out the cheapest way to travel.
I start work at the fire station at 09:30 tomorrow and need to come back at around 20:00 the following day.
The cheapest way is two advanced singles. However…
You can only use them on the specified trains.
We regularly get call outs towards the end of our shift, so sometimes we finish late.
This means I need a more flexible ticket. As if I pay for the 20:00, then miss it because of a call, I have to by another one…
@GWRHelp train delayed 40 mins, no seat reservations & no food/drink service for anyone in standard class.
Your prices don’t reflect the service you provide.
And please don’t advise me about delay repay, everyone is more than aware of it as we have to use it so often.
@GWRHelp I appreciate the apology but it’s not just today, there’s always an issue! Wether that be a cancellation, delayed train, no trolley service, ticket reservation system is down or less coaches than there are supposed to be…
It would soften the blow if your tickets were affordable
Another day using @GWRHelp and another day of it being useless and frustrating.
I spend thousands upon thousands of pounds a year to use their trains and there is almost always an issue of some sort.
It really isn’t good enough
@GWRHelp I’ll now miss my colleague retirement, it’s his final parade after completing 35 years in the fire brigade and I cannot afford to get there. I’m am beyond gutted.
This is made worse by the fact I am now sat on a @GWRhelp train that’s been delayed nearly 30 mins from Bristol.
@GWRHelp Relegated by the government but not set by the government. GWR have chosen to charge that much.
Noah, I know you work for @GWRHelp but on a personal level… do you think £170 for a return on a journey that takes an hour is justified?
Another day, another awful @GWRHelp journey.
Stood up, crammed in between coaches by the toilets.
Why do you insist on cancelling trains then run the other trains with less carriages then they are supposed to have?
Your prices are ludicrous and so is your service.
@nationalexpress please explain what’s going on with the 15:30 Bristol to London.
We’ve been sat on a sweltering bus, with no air con, with zero information as to why.
We were also asked to leave the bus if we wanted to go to Hammersmith, before the driver changed her mind.
