@mattbuford@pet35729625@SilentAlert1@elonmusk@Hyliion I did a Google map search and it still had the tesla sign out front, but tgr pic was 7yrs ago. That does make me question why the article is coming out now. I'm sure we could find the permit easy.
@mattbuford@SilentAlert1@GordonJohnson19@Tesla@elonmusk@Hyliion Aw your right! He just wrote about in 2022, interesting. I guess we'll see. Your right doesn't mean it's the same now, but also doesn't mean it's changed. Ultimately it not a telsa thing it's a grid thing.
@pet35729625@SilentAlert1@elonmusk@Hyliion I found it on Google maps as tou suggested. It's across the street and place in the back of the shell station. Looks like the same place they had the pic of the generator in 2015.
@pet35729625@SilentAlert1@elonmusk@Hyliion The article said supplement, not totally ran on. The pic you posted is of a stationary generator, if you look at the picture from 2015 you can see they use portable diesel gensets. The article also states its behind the shell gas station across the street.
@mattbuford@SilentAlert1@GordonJohnson19@Tesla@elonmusk@Hyliion " at the Harris Ranch Supercharger. Hidden in plain sight across the way from the Harris Ranch Superchargerโs main stations, behind a Shell station, is a small diesel plant that has helped power Teslaโs footprint." You didn't read the article did u?
@mattbuford@SilentAlert1@GordonJohnson19@Tesla@elonmusk@Hyliion If you look at the picture it's a portable generator. They probably wouldn't need it during the day due to the solar panels. I better view would be at night. They could easily only pull these things out when they need them.
@mattbuford@SilentAlert1@GordonJohnson19@Tesla@elonmusk@Hyliion No, the article never said all chargers are being ran on diesel, it said supplemented with diesel generators. Your also assuming the diesel generator was stationary vs portable. Your also assuming they never placed under ground cables that allow a generator hook up out of sight.
@mattbuford@SilentAlert1@GordonJohnson19@Tesla@elonmusk@Hyliion Key word," smaller site", the article didn't say all Tesla site just the one in SF which happens to be the biggest and requires the must power. We have to remember the utility companies may not allow tesla to pull as much power as they want from the grid.
@SilentAlert1@GordonJohnson19@Tesla@elonmusk@Hyliion The problem is the grid can't handle 100 super chargers. Look at pepsico they were only approved for what 6 DC fast chargers, and they are expecting 100 semi's? That's a logistic nightmare. The utilities are not going to set themselves up to fail.
@pet35729625@SilentAlert1@elonmusk@Hyliion Can you provide any evidence to this article being false? I'm not trying to call you out or anything, I just really want to know if there is proof to this being false. It seems like an unnecessary risk to put the information out without it being fact based, lawsuits and all.
@pet35729625@SilentAlert1@elonmusk@Hyliion The difference is there is no limit on the amount of diesel you can use but there is on grid energy. The grid energy is not infinite. It based on what that local utility is willing to allocate to that property. That can change how and where they get enough energy for the project.
@pet35729625@SilentAlert1@elonmusk@Hyliion So how do you know anything ever changed? I'm just curious. If they were put in place back then and verified in 2015, why do you believe things are different now?
This @Hyliion bag comes in handy for the little league snacks
Actually this league touches freight in a few ways. @SteamLogistics sponsors the field and Iโve even seen @BTrautschold / @AmbitionSales logo on some of the shirts
