‘Wounda’ I was commissioned to paint this piece by @JaneGoodallUK and the piece was sold at auction, raising just under £20,000 for the charity.

For those of you who don’t know, Wounda was rescued from the illegal pet trade, close to death.

Wounda is believed to be the first chimp in Africa to receive a chimp-to-chimp blood transfusion and survived to have a baby - Hope!

I am now a proud chimp guardian of both Wounda and Zeze, who are enjoying their retirement at the @JaneGoodallInst sanctuaries.

What’s even worse is that despite knowing the strength of feeling about it, how people have suffered and some cases died on her watch – she doesn’t feel inclined to give it back.”
