Someone noticed that when you have hundreds / thousands of cores in a supercomputer, the individual utilization boxes in Task Manager start to look like pixels. People started making pictures by doing different amounts of work on specific processors.

Yep - any generative design tool not tightly coupled to a standardised construction system is destined to fail for the simple reason they are at the mercy of subjective opinion and never-ending architectural design requests which make code maintainability impossible
