I'm joining Long Lake as a partner to grow our businesses with AI.
2 years ago, @Clay acquired my company and we built Clay's agentic copilot, Sculptor, so that any company could build agents to grow their business. OpenAI, UPS, and Google now use Clay to power their growth.
Through that, I learned that growth works best when you build an engine that compounds over years. At Long Lake, we acquire iconic services businesses like @amexgbt, transform them with AI, and compound them forever.
The days are long but the years are short. Compounding is slow, then sudden. @llmh is hiring - and my DMs are open!
@lyonaeroports@transaviaFR what’s going on with this security issue at LYS? Not loving the lack of updates or information on our flight leaving or not with security shut down.
This is perhaps the worst platform to share this thought, but
How many times have we ignored nuance for the sake of alignment, SPEED, and discomfort with conflicting ideas and observations?
Most discussions are not as urgent as we perceive them to be. Take your time and think
Did not expect Gen-Z to chase skilled trade jobs to become more entrepreneurial. Big push is viewing AI as less of a threat to blue collar jobs. Not a bad outcome given the massive labor shortages.
@jay_drainjr was just talking about this with friends: a lot of people have shifted over to storygraph for better ux but goodreads still has the network despite how hard it is to find and follow people
We will look at 2022 as the year employment growth at tech companies peaked. The '22/'23 "get fit" trend dovetailed right into '23 - '25 AI adoption, driving a massive increase in productivity. Upside: more profitable tech cos. Downside: less obvious + easy employment growth.
A misstep I see a few times per year by VCs or their EAs: presuming that my cc’ed cofounder is my assistant
We just had our first 2024 instance of this, and this would never happen if the cc’ed individual was named Justin rather than Julianna
