A teacher told his shy student that if he picked the blank paper, he'd give the whole class 100s on the oral exam, but the one thing the students didn't know was that both papers were blank.
These two children set up lemonade stands in their driveway. One particular driver drove up and asked the little girl if she was pouring lemonade. He stole their money, which came to about 40 bucks. Of course, the kids were very upset, as was Mom. She decided to have the kids do it again to get over their fear, and this time the community rallied around them and basically turned into a giant block party. 650 people showed up, and then it just went on from there.
This just goes to show that even though we hear about all the bad things, there are still many more good people out there in the world and even right next door.
AAU 100m Hurdles Regional Champ-I love that Gold around my neck!
Silver in the 400m Hurdles too-not bad for my first time competing in the 400m Hurdles. ❤️🖤 @eksports_org@EKHSFNN
Texas youth softball players made monkey noises at other team's pitcher—a 13 year old biracial girl.
Umpire refused to do anything—saying it's only against rules to use racist "words" not just "noises."
"He denied the meaning behind the monkey noises," coach said.
Eventually the USSSA South Texas League did ban the team from playing in future tournaments this year.
The girl's family says that's not enough."
"She deserves an apology of some sort—or some kind of acknowledgement that this isn't the behavior that they tolerate."
Incident occurred at a one day tournament at Henderson Field in Brenham, Texas.
My daughter called me from school yesterday.
Her: Dad I got in trouble.
Me: What happened.
Her: A boy grabbed my arm when I tried to walk away from him. So I broke his nose.
Me: (pause)
Me: Are you okay?
Her: I'm fine. But the principal wants to talk to you.
I went in.
The principal sat across from me and explained that while he understood my daughter felt uncomfortable, her response was inappropriate. The boy hadn't actually hurt her. She should have heard him out.
Me: (looked at him)
Me: What did my daughter say when you told her that?
Principal: (shifted in his seat)
Apparently she had told him in the middle of the school corridor, loud enough for everyone passing to hear that if that was his attitude he should probably find a different profession. That he was teaching girls to be quiet and teaching boys that grabbing was acceptable. That men like him were exactly why her mother taught her to throw a proper punch.
Two female teachers had started clapping.
Me: (sat there for a moment)
Me: (looked at the principal)
Me: With respect.
Me: The boy grabbed her when she tried to walk away.
Me: (stood up)
Me: I think we're done here.
Me: (collected my daughter from outside)
Me: (we walked to the car)
Me: (I didn't say anything for a moment)
Her: Am I in trouble?
Me: (looked at her)
Me: Your mum taught you well.
Her: (small smile)
Me: (we drove home)
Me: (I've never been more proud of anything in my life)

At a middle school basketball game in Southwest Virginia the opposing team showed up to their opponent’s Gym and waved Confederate flags while yelling racial slurs. The home team has mostly black players on it. Remember these are just middle schoolers doing this crap!
