Petfinder recently changed its search settings so that many out-of-town pets, the ones ready to be transported and adopted, aren’t showing up in searches unless you check a tiny box that no one notices. This is causing adoption inquiries to plummet, leaving rescues unable to place animals.

💔 Dog's lives are literally on the line. Shelters can’t find rescues to take dogs off the URGENT ☠️ list because their adoptions have plummeted almost 90 percent.

📣 What you can do:
Tag @Petfinder and tell them: “Rescues need out of town pets to show up in searches. Lives are at stake!”

🚨#BREAKING: Over 60 puppies have just been RESCUED from horrific conditions at a puppy mill in North Carolina.

Dozens of people from the local community showed up on Christmas Eve to groom and foster the puppies for Christmas, who now have a second chance at life.
