Is anchoring subs to Claude Code worth that much to Anthropic? With the tide shift of sentiment after Opus 5.5, you’d think opening subs to other harnesses could be an absolute bunker buster to the other labs
@zeeg Been using and contributing to it for a a year or two now and it’s been a great experience. I found it generally wrapped many of the crates I was using anyway which made it easy to adopt.
Your (v)cpu choice matters a lot.
Generation, architecture, core:ram ratio all make a big difference in how your database / app performs.
Graph below shows an r6id → i7i upgrade. Xeon Ice Lake to Emerald Rapids, huge difference.
Increasingly convinced: people who do best with agents are those that are good at shipping things in small pieces.
Someone who could ship a feature in 4 commits going to main now does better with agents than the guy who always ended up with a 6k PR on Friday afternoon.
A kid who knows how to raid in WoW is unironically a better hire than 99% of non gamers. They develop team skills, coordination, leadership, how to master the respect of 40 people, how to share loot, maintaining a raid schedule, showing up on time, clear direct communication, how to get along with unique personalities, creating and executing on strategies, failing and trying again (perseverance), delayed gratification, etc. Invaluable skills are developed during raiding that are transferrable to the real world.
@thorstenball Awesome, this was so needed. I have many times used a runner to spawn additional runners on the same machine when I wanted to work in another project remotely 😅
