๐บ๐ฌ Uganda Ebola Outbreak Update | As of May 30
Ugandaโs Ebola response continues, with national teams and partners working to detect cases early, follow contacts, protect health workers and stop further transmission.
Every contact followed, every sample tested, and every frontline worker protected brings the response closer to interrupting transmission.
Africa CDC continues to support the Government of Uganda (@GovUganda), its @MinofHealthUG, and partners through surveillance, contact tracing, laboratory testing, case management and community engagement.
We are sharing Uganda-specific figures to provide clear, country-by-country information across affected countries. #AfricaResponds

Looking back at a productive and inspiring Day 1 in #GuluCity.
Great conversations, practical multimedia sessions, and powerful insights on covering cross-border trade.
Swipe to catch the highlights.
@AmoruPaul@StKyamutetera@kasujja Paul, what are the guidelines for these liberties/limits? OECD says, but what does GOU comms strategy say? Is it upto the attention economy times? So if he e.g left today- how would we proceed? How many more stunts & 'misgendering' of comms tools before reputation management?

This training is part of the ๐๐ณ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ๐๐ฑ! ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต, implemented in partnership with @TradeMarkAfrica, supported by @EUinUG.
We are leveraging media strategies to complement existing efforts to enhance small-scale cross-border trade, particularly for women around border areas like Elegu-Nimule.
PR 101! lol I love this- Another one. We need to over use it until it becomes a banality so that we return to the sanity of what a true press release is...

Speaking @MFAUganda at the #MediInternshipSummit2026 inspiring young journalists about making the most of their internship experience. My key message was: Internship is not just about getting experience but how you build habits that will help define your career.
โMine was at UTV, and it came with many interesting learning experiences. I remember my first assignment was thrown in the backet because it did not meet the expected standards. My editor then asked me why I was ashaming @Makerere .
That moment challenged me to put in more effort and learn more about the profession. By the time I received another assignment, I had improved greatly and delivered quality work. The experience taught me the importance hard work, and continuous learning in journalism.โ @Imokola@MFAUganda #MediaInternshipSummit2026
โAI cannot fully replace human relationships or human judgment in journalism. It may assist journalists in certain tasks, but it cannot take away the human factor that comes with storytelling, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Journalists still have the responsibility to verify information because AI only works with the information it is given, and sometimes that information may be inaccurate. That is why it is important to understand that the creative and ethical aspects of content creation remain the responsibility of human beings.โ @FelixEupal12

Several MPs in the 12th @Parliament_Ug were forced to stand or sit in the gallery during a May 28 plenary session due to shortage of seats in the chambers.
The chamber, built for about 80 members, now squeezes in over 500 lawmakers. Relief remains stalled as the construction of the new, spacious Shs200 billion parliamentary chambers faces persistent delays and missed deadlines.
