Several MPs in the 12th @Parliament_Ug were forced to stand or sit in the gallery during a May 28 plenary session due to shortage of seats in the chambers.
The chamber, built for about 80 members, now squeezes in over 500 lawmakers. Relief remains stalled as the construction of the new, spacious Shs200 billion parliamentary chambers faces persistent delays and missed deadlines.
