A toy cycle. A turning car. A moment inside a housing society that could have ended very differently. 🙏

Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune - August 7: a young girl, around 5-6 years old, was riding her toy cycle inside a housing society when a car turned in her direction.

CCTV footage reportedly shows the child falling in the vehicle's path, with the car's rear wheel passing over her. She was rushed to a private hospital and has since been discharged.

No FIR has been filed yet, as the family has not filed a complaint. Police are reviewing the incident.

Housing society lanes are where families feel safest letting kids play - which is exactly why slow, cautious driving inside these spaces matters as much as it does on any main road.

First-Ever Petrol Train Reaches Kashmir Valley 🚆✨

Indian Railways has successfully completed the first BTPN (petrol tanker) train trial on the USBRL route to the Kashmir Valley.

For nearly a year after the line opened, fuel trains were held back due to safety concerns, especially because of the route's long tunnels and fire-risk considerations. After extensive safety assessments, the first trial has now been completed successfully.

Why is this important?
• Reduces dependence on NH-44, which is frequently affected by landslides and road closures.
• Ensures a more reliable supply of petrol and other essential liquid commodities to the Kashmir Valley.
• Marks another significant step in unlocking the full potential of the USBRL railway line.

A big win for connectivity, logistics, and the people of Kashmir Valley. 🚆✨

▪️Maharashtra Airport Development Company has invited bids for appointment of consultant for preparation of detailed techno-economic feasibility study and bid process management for the upcoming greenfield offshore international airport at Kore, Palghar district, Maharashtra.

▪️The bids are scheduled to open on 3rd September 2026.

▪️Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently inspected the site and layout of the country's first proposed offshore airport near Kore beach in Palghar district.

▪️This site has turned out to be the most feasible location for MMR's third airport as per the preliminary feasibility study.

▪️The upcoming Uttan-Virar Sea Link will be extended by roughly 4.75 km to directly connect with this airport.

▪️The airport will also have a connector from Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway (NH48).

▪️It will also have direct connectivity with Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC).

▪️As can be seen from the below image of Uttan-Virar Sea Link, the northern end of the sea bridge has been kept open for future expansion and hence, extension of this bridge up to this offshore airport would be pretty straightforward.
