In Austin for @Codie_Sanchez biz workshop and to run a YouTube session for her clients
Prop up my laptop, connect my phone and work on a video that’ll be seen by thousands
Catch up with my team in 3 countries
This is the best time in human history and it’s not even close
If you're cold-pitching someone:
1. make sure you can actually improve on what they have,
2. make sure they need your help,
3. make sure to be specific or show them how you can help,
4. make sure to actually look at their channel!
inbox is getting reallllly annoying.
let me make myself clear... if you email saying my edits could "use some work" I'll block you
I have the most elite team and this kind of nonsense will not be tolerated
@janaskulova is goated and I'll die on that hill
skedaddle bots...
This is so true for longforms on YouTube as well!
One of the biggest things you can do for quality is give your editor more time, and usually this comes to better organisation or having more than 1 editor.
Scrambling to hit a weekly deadline stresses you both out.
The better my thumbnails, the more clicks I get.
The better my editing, the better my videos perform.
The better my videos perform, the more cold emails I get telling me my thumbnails and editing suck.
@AliAbdaal@Jamiewhiffen@sharran The way to apply this is simple - lead with value. You don’t need an elaborate introduction in every video, qualifying your background. Use at most 2 sentences to give context to who you are and why you are speaking on this topic, and go straight into value.
