@SusanCowell@Nic_Corr@FarRightThugs As Tim Minchin said, if alternative medicine worked, it wouldn’t be alternative, it would be mainstream. If your ‘cures’ worked, how come so many people, especially young people, die of bowel cancer?
@mgtmccartney Apart from the desirability of having a GP you know & trust, it’s likely that pharmacists too will be overloaded. Recently I waited 30 mins to collect a prescription because it hadn’t been checked by the pharmacist and she was busy doing a ‘consultation’ with a patient.
@DrBeckyl@DoctorsVoteUK@thecsp Yes it absolutely is. The NHS doesn’t seem to know that employees leave not because of pay, but because of conditions. One physio I mentioned left because she was suddenly expected to work at a clinic 1.5 hours drive from home, that wasn’t what she signed up for.
@DoctorsVoteUK@DrBeckyl@thecsp I personally know 3 experienced physios. They have all left the NHS to set up their own practices, alongside running fitness classes & t’ai chi classes. Mainly due to poor NHS management, & being forced into roles they didn’t want.
@Caracta60883973@WhatNowDoc No it’s relatively civilised up here & I just rang the department and complained & they gave me another appointment the following week.
@Caracta60883973@WhatNowDoc That happened to me - received an appointment for ECG two days after it was supposed to happen. It’s on my record as ‘Did not attend - reason given’ 😡
@DPDUK__Care
You were supposed to deliver a parcel to my sister & it was marked as delivered. She says the photo of where it was delivered to isn’t her house. Please can you explain & sort out.
@portusadurni@Victoria_Rixon The NHS’s problem is retaining staff and ensuring working conditions will be acceptable. I personally know 3 physios, all have set up their own private practices and teach Pilates and Tai Chi because they were frustrated & unhappy in the NHS.
