How Would You Describe What Naseeruddin Shah Does?
Over 51 years, through the ledger of his filmography, from Shyam Benegal’s Nishant to Imtiaz Ali’s 'Main Vaapas Aaunga', is presented through the lens of rasa theory by @sohinichat

We are commissioning one long-form book review (4000-5000 words) for the first issue of the @newdelhireview, to be released in July.
Looking forward to connecting with PhD scholars working broadly in economics, public policy, and development studies. There is an honorarium.
@divyarrs@janeborges9 Lovely interview! I know all the characters, from the book, from my Fatima school area that had 'lots of catlicks, men' and Orlem. Bombay balchao is thus a living part of me. It's like a Bombay version of mario+malgudi
Following a wonderful event in Mumbai, here's an interview with @janeborges9. She talks to us about storytelling, the history of Cavel (Mumbai), memory and imagination, her work of non-fiction; and her favourite city writers, among other things.

15% of Mumbai's new 130-acre Coastal Road seafront will have ticketed attractions. Why should a corporation profit from public space created with public money? https://t.co/40zbIwmS1o
@Dev_Fadnavis@mieknathshinde please look into this. It's been a miserable two months for the residents and all because of the terrible road digging work.
@mybmc you are running Bombay city like a village. Residents of Chira Bazaar and Girgaum have had no electricity for the entire night. BEST busy diverting electricity between phases. Say they have no manpower. Shocking.
Days after the Union govt told the capital’s fabled Delhi Gymkhana Club to vacate its leased premises by June 5, Mumbai’s elite clubs are sweating over a cryptic letter from the Collector’s office hinting at changes to the way the city’s #gymkhanas are run https://t.co/ZiIefUonvC
@mybmc your contractors while conducting road repairs late last night, broke three water pipelines on Dr Viegas Street road in Kalbadevi. We have no water today, but the amount of spillage on the dug road is just tragic. Nobody came to fix these lines from the BMC either.
One #KeralaStory from the recent election results that communalists should note: a Muslim majority constituency, Thavanur, elected a Christian, VS Joy; a Hindu majority constituency, Kalamassery, elected a Muslim. VE Abdul Gafoor; and a Christian majority constituency, Kochi, elected a Muslim, Muhammed Shiyas. Despite some influence from the national trends in favour of identity politics, Kerala remains a model of communal harmony, a state where people see human beings first and caste or religion later
@incindia@inckerala
@mybmc you have made a joke of road digging and construction in Mumbai. Departments lack coordination. And many buildings on Dr Viegas Street have had no electricity in three hours. And neither Ward C officers or BEST seem to be addressing issue.
@mybmc@mybmcInfra the road contractor has now cut a power line on Dr Viegas Street while road digging. No electricity during peak afternoon heat. This is after breaking five water pipelines yesterday. Simply ridiculous
