@JayMcKenna87 1. It's social media ๐ 2. Some people are at their happiest when they're moaning 3. People can always get themselves involved in SoS if they want to effect change (and perhaps they'd better appreciate the effort that goes in)
@johngibbonsblog Agreed. I'd also say that for some fans, Slot's biggest sin is that he's not Klopp. Midfielders signed after Gerrard retired suffered similar unfavorable comparisons. Initially there were letters in The Football Echo moaning about Paisley because he wasn't Shankly ๐
@Gunga__Din@spiritofshankly@Nick___Collins The food & drink in the ground is also a rip off. Hitting them in the pocket is definitely the way to go - boycott food, drink & all merchandise.
@GiuliaBould@Garyb28Gary@MetroMayorSteve Why would the likes of Taylor Swift be performing outdoors next to the waterfront in the winter? Many areas of Merseyside are in need of improved transport links for 365 days a year. Perhaps access issues should have been sorted before BMD planning permission was granted?
@paullewismoney I posted 3 Xmas cards to New Zealand on 25/11/24 - correctly weighed & stamped+airmail stickers. They took 9 weeks to arrive. When I complained, RM said their delivery aims of 5-7 working days are just aims & not guaranteed. They're not even pretending to offer a "service" now.
@lpoolcouncil@bbcmerseyside@liamrobinson24 The quickest way to limit the damage is to announce that, for the forseeable future, parking restrictions will be limited to EFC matchdays. That gives you time to come up with a better solution.
@David180000@BarryWilliams93@merseyrail@lpoolcouncil It would be no better. I've been having a go at Rotherham about the lack of trains after midweek & Sunday games & got nowhere. It was chaos at Sandhills after LFCs game vs Ipswich - all trains between Moorfields & Central were cancelled. We should be joining forces on this one.
@ORailways Itโll be hell after midweek and Sunday matches with the current โreducedโ service. One train every half hour to many destinations is asking for trouble
@RoyalMail has just confirmed by email that their โdue datesโ for international mail are delivery aims only. Theyโre not guaranteed and the 9 weeks it took my Xmas cards to get to New Zealand by airmail (posted late November) is tough luck. I'll be avoding Royal Mail in future.
@RoyalMail I suggest posting very very early. I sent 3 Xmas cards airmail to New Zealand on 25/11/24 - all weighed and correctly stamped at the Post Office. They've only just arrived. That's 9 weeks! Did they actually go by plane?
@merseyrail Hopefully the refurbishment at Sandhills will include information boards on the road side of the pedestrian tunnel. Yesterday people were trying to get into & out of the tunnel under the railway at the same time because the only information was on the platform side of the tunnel.
@merseyrail Your Service Update and Journey Planner pages tell different stories (on this occasion about the 18:18 from Birkenhead North). Either itโs cancelled or on time and it would be helpful if they were consistent
Holy smoke. Watch this. There are very real consequences for all of us of ignoring 40 years of warnings from NASA & the world's leading scientists. Reminder: as the planet heats, the atmosphere holds more moisture meaning rainfall intensity increases. This is all just beginning.
Once upon a time the UK had rent control, and minimum prices for milk, eggs etc for farmers.
Then the billionaires took over and decided to let themselves rob us as much as they like.
Time to take back control.
There is seemingly no end to the JCVI preventing vulnerable groups from being protected during a pandemic...
Brilliant stuff from @sheencr and @chrischirp
