@ClareCampbell7 Hello Clare. You kindly took part in a research study last year and I wondered if you would be willing to speak to me again this year? I've sent you a message via LinkedIn so, if you would be happy to have another chat, please message me back
.@bt_uk and @EE appear to be using this price change announcement as cover for the shameless decision to go ahead with yet another inflation-busting price increase in April

Much as I think it can be useful, I've always been a bit suspicious of gratitude journalling. This approach sounds much more human and a lot more fun.

With the wealth of talented women within the #workforce it makes moral and strategic sense to understand the significance of #hormones and the impact of depleting hormones during #perimenopause and #menopause.
Women are no longer suffering quietly "behind the apron".

Neurotransmitters are our body’s chemical messengers. They carry messages from one nerve cell to the next nerve, muscle or cell. These messages help us move our limbs, feel sensations, keep our heart beating and our bodies breathing, control our emotions and our senses, and take in and respond to all information our bodies receive from other internal parts of our body and our environment. Our nerves are involved in everything we do and think.
Our sex hormones oestrogen, testosterone and progesterone are all neurotransmitters and are produced in our brains as well as our ovaries. Yet few people realise this.
These hormones also affect the levels of other neurotransmitters in our brains. One example is that oestrogen increases the rate of degradation of monoamine oxidase, the enzyme that catabolises (breaks down) serotonin, dopamine and noradrenaline in our brains. This means that higher levels of oestradiol in our brains leads to higher levels of these other neurotransmitters in our brains.
It is very important women and also healthcare professionals understand the role of of sex hormones as neurotransmitters and how they affect other neurotransmitters, so over the next few days I will be sharing posts to give more information about this.
